Great place to stay, although rooms are small
The room was very clean, the location was perfect (near lots of shops, restaurants, and a major train station), the staff were very polite and super helpful and they all spoke English very well.
The room was small, but that is very common in Japan so we expected it.

What was the highlight of Richmond Hotel Premier Musashikosugi
It was'nt exceptional as I thought it would be, but it was nonetheless comfortable.
The huge bathtub. There was an ironing machine in the room. There's a wide desk space. The slippers were comfortable English instructions about the amenities in the room. We can take coffee to our rooms from the buffet. The bottom of the bed was easy to see for last-minute checking. Parking was convenient as we can park earlier than pur check-in time. It was pretty close to central Tokyo.
The massage chair's pressure, even tho it was set on the weakest, was still too strong. It was more painful than relaxing, the first try. I had to put towels to ease the pressure. The breakfast was normal. Nothing too special about it. Would appreciate having 5 bottles of water for 5 people. They only provided water for the adults.

What was the highlight of Richmond Hotel Premier Musashikosugi
Good
First time visiting Japan and this was our first stay, the staff was very kind and polite, the room was good and they had everything in order. They also fixed my wifi pocket pickup so the package was in my room the day i got there. There also was a little bar on the same level as the reception with useful smaller things for free that you as a traveler could need (toothpicks, brushes, hair products etc). The breakfast was by far one of the best of the seven different hotells we stayed at during our visit. They change small things every morning so you always have a new taste experience while still attaining the basic breakfast. The room was good, tv worked great and they had the best pillows, I like my pillows soft, other hotells had only hard pillows. The surronding area has a smaller park, 7/11, a big shopping centre, 10+ restaurants and two different train stations within 5 minutes walk from the hotell. So this hotell for me was a perfect if not the best place to sleep of the jetlag and start the japan trip in a calm and comfortable environment.
So why not ten star rating? Well.. sadly the room we stayed in had some problem with AC/ventilation so every morning there was a big pool of water on the window counter and small spots with black mold in the windows corner. So even if we visited in December when it is cooler climate (5-15 plus degrees) there still was a lot of condensation on the windows. So every morning we had to use one of our towels to scoop up all the water so it wouldn't cause to much water damage. I told the staff but considering that there was mold one the first day the problem has been going on for some time. At the time I thougt the climate was the cause and every hotell would have the same problem, turns out i didn't. It did not affect our stay or our comfort level at all so overall it was a really good place and I would certanly go back.
